Welcome to our gelding page. One of the first things we would like to say is that just because we decide to geld a horse does NOT mean they are of inferior quality in any way shape or form. Our reasoning in gelding a colt is based on the idea that a truly exceptional "stallion quality" colt only comes along once in a very long while. We feel that unless a colt can at least meet or exceed the quality of its sire, it should be gelded. At times, even if this level of quality is met we will still geld him, as there is no purpose to having too many competing stallions in the market place.
Our geldings are all of exceptional quality, whether you are looking for something to show, ride or drive, any of our boys can fit the part. The major bonus of purchasing a gelding as a buyer is that because they are not breeding stock, they are sold at very reduced prices. These wonderful horses are the ambassadors of our breed...the ones we all want out in front of the public. We are proud to have the North Fork name behind each and every one.

This stunning colt is certainly keeping us guessing as to what his color will turn out to be. His dam carries the pearl gene and his sire has the spotted (appaloosa) gene. He is super athletic which is no surprise at all as both his sire Indigo and his grandsire Love Biscuit AKA Doc are both accomplished dressage competitors. Anyone looking to add something very special to their herd who will tear up the show ring will want to take a serious look at this very special boy.

North Fork Aslan
SOLD
Shambo aka The Joyce Stallion
Liberty's Ballinsloe
May 5, 2009
Aslan is a stunning palomino gelding with all the old body style characteristics the travelers in Europe breed for. He is a very heavily built and powerful boy with a leg in each corner, as the Travellers would say. At only 5 years of age as of 2014 he is really just starting to become all that he can be. Aslan has changed so much just in the last year it is quite unbelievable. We expect that he will not fully mature and fill out completely until between his 6th and 7th year. His golden color has really started to show up this year and will continue to deepen with time. As a stallion, Aslan had sired 6 foals to date and 4 more are due in 2015. The decision to geld Aslan was not an easy one but we felt that we have enough quality offspring from him to carry on his name in our herd. We feel there are enough stallions in the marketplace and don't feel the need to create more competition for ourselves by selling him intact. Aslan has had some solid ground driving training and with a little refresher course will be ready to be hooked up to a cart. He is very kind and easy to handle in every way. He will be a pleasure to own for whomever decides to purchase him.

North Fork Beauty
May 18, 2014
The first Tumbleweed foal of the 2014 season, Cadbury earned his name on from the profile of the bunny which graces his chest. If only one word were to describe Cadbury, that word would be "solid". North Fork Pegasus
SOLD
Clononeen Tumbleweed
Clononeen Violet
May 21, 2013
Tumbleweed, being known around the world as "The Sire of Sires' has done it again! It is a rare occasion that at this age we can boldly say that we believe this boy has stallion quality, but with this colt we are saying yes, he has what it takes. His sire and dam are a "no miss" couple when put together and Pegasus in no exception. His dam's jagged coat pattern has transferred over to Pegasus and he has the most unique and perfectly balanced crest on his chest that remind you of wings! There will be no mistaking him in a crowd that's for sure. Confirmation, beauty, hair, bone and personality'¦he truly has it all.

North Fork Chaska
SOLD
North Fork Aslan
North Fork Beauty
May 6, 2012
Chaska was our first foal of the year and both Beauty and Aslan's very first foal. We were shocked by the size and body of Chaska and needless to say super impressed by this feisty bay colt. Again his blood lines are legendary with Billy Boy, The Lob and Shambo in his background. Chaska was born with a very rare hernia (non hereditary) that required immediate surgery and developed some respiratory problems compounded by the surgery. He has spent a lot of time under the care of Doctors in the "horse-pital' since birth but we are happy to say he is doing very well and we expect a full recovery from this little gem. Everyone who has been dealing with him has fallen head over heals in love with him. As far as we are concerned he will probably become one of our future lead show horses'¦Chaska means "oldest son' or "first born son'.

June 14, 2011
Bailey's first foal is a beautiful mostly bay and white colt with slight touches of black near the top of his mane and on the tips of his ears. Two lovely brown eyes combined with a curious and friendly personality already showing itself to visitors demonstrate his sire and dam's calm and loving natures. We are confident they will also pass on their lovely conformation and beautiful manes.

North Fork Roanan
SOLD
Tully
Miss Pio
May 6, 2010
Roanan is already showing exceptional feather, great personality, and an endearing tendency to follow us around. He has two blue eyes and is mainly white with a few well-placed black markings Roanan will most likely grow to be 14.2hh due to his dam’s side representing the more traditional Gypsy Cob height. As part of Tully’s first foal crop we think he’s going to be stunning!

North Fork Lux
SOLD
Tumbleweed
Layla
June 25, 2009
Born in the wee hours of the morning, Lux showed great form early on and we have truly been blown away by how well he is growing up. He shows fantastic conformation, flowing feather and beautiful movement, gifted from his very famous sire. Very eager to please, he has been well handled, is very people oriented and has been started under saddle. A family favorite, he would be a fantastic addition to any home for riding or driving. Click here for video.
Navarro is a lovely calm seven year old gelding we were able to purchase from an owner who was no longer able to give him the proper care. Navarro has proven himself a quick learner and is presently green broke by our Western trainer. We feel that he would make an excellent driving prospect and if he doesn't sell at this time we will begin work on driving over the winter. Please keep in mind that with more training his price will go up sharply as there are not many mature ride and drive Gypsies available due to the breed's rarity. Navarro is suitable for the very young rider or an older rider looking for a steady mount and is very loving. Registered originally with the Stampbook for Tinkers out of Holland, he is a perfect family companion that we'd like to see go to a good home.
Orion has a mostly white face and body, with the beautiful bay and black markings his sire is known for. He has been started under saddle, and is filling out very quickly with beautiful conformation, feather and tail. When away from his playmates, his mane will fill in nicely and with the family trait of two blue eyes, is turning out to be a stunner!
